About 130 Year 12 students visited the University of Sussex today. The purpose was to give them an experience of what life is like at university. Students attended talks in a lecture theatre on what a university has to offer, how to choose a course, finance, and personal statements. They also had a tour of the campus from current undergraduates, with an opportunity to ask questions. Students who did not partake in the visit, spent time in school investigating other career paths, including apprenticeships. All of these events form part of the Sixth Form ‘Futures’ programme. There will be an update in next week’s newsletter on how the visit went.
