On Monday 18th September 21 year 12 Textiles students made their way to Kew Gardens. On arrival the students were astounded by the scale of the gardens, the ingenuity of the greenhouse architecture as well as their size. They spent the day exploring the grounds, green houses and installations gathering source imagery for their foundation projects. The students also spent time creating drawn studies and responses to Kew Gardens. We managed to dodge the rain and the students left feeling inspired to progress their projects further.
